by Matt Himes
In a small village and all around the world there is no light. Many people die because crops cannot grow, there is no food. People are always complaining, how they cannot see or how hungry they are.
Lokir a brave and trustworthy leader of the village notices his family start to go missing. Every night a different person goes missing the next day they are nowhere to be found. He gets curious when half of his family is missing. He decides to follow his sister when she leaves the next night. After about an hour of following her they come across a giant field. A god of fire shoots up out of the ground. Lokir’s sister starts talking to the god like she’s brainwashed. Lokir decides that he should confront them. He hopped out of the bush and confronted the fire god Lusun. Later after Lokir confronted Lusun he learned that Lusun is the one who has been taking people from his village and his family. He makes a deal with Lusun. “If I win then I get my family and village members back and your eye as proof of me defeating you, but if I lose then I have to serve and help you.” Said Lokir. “I agree but we can only fight tomorrow.” Said Lusun. Lusun also agreed that he would bring Lokirs family and village members to watch. The next day Lusun and Lokir both prepared for the fight. The time had come. Lokir and his sister both went to the meeting place for the fight. Immediately Lusun shot up out of the ground with evil lurking in the air. They reminded each other of their sides of the deal. Then they began to fight. It was a long battle as Lokirs family and village watched in horror as Lokir and Lusun struck each other with deafening blow. After what seemed forever Lusun had defeated Lokir. His family cried in shocked that Lokir would now serve Lusun. Lokir kept his promise as he stood by Lusun and gave his final wave of goodbye.
