National Autism Month
Autism, or autism spectrum disorder (ASD), refers to a broad range of conditions characterized by challenges with social skills, repetitive behaviors, speech and nonverbal communication. The National Awards Program, also known as competitive events, recognizes and rewards excellence in a broad range of business and career-related areas. FBLA competitive events also prepare students for successful careers in business by providing opportunities to apply classroom concepts in a workforce-simulated competitive environment. KUDOS Brandon for placing 4th place for Business Etiquette!
Candace Chandler Ortiz, the school’s curriculum coach, coordinated the science fair for students in 5th-8th. The goal was to give students a way to showcase and share their science projects.
