Lovejoy Visual Arts

The Lovejoy Visual Art program is excited to announce the opening of the 14th annual LJVA AP Studio Art exhibition on May 13th from 5 - 9! We cannot wait to share this wonderfully diverse and thoughtful collection of work with our family and friends. The range of approaches, processes, and personal vision behind these 13 artists' work is a beautiful testament to the mission and legacy of our Lovejoy Visual Art Program.

Please join us Saturday, May 13th from 5 - 9 pm for an evening celebrating these artists and their work while gaining insight into their process and ideation. At the exhibition, you will be able to meet the artists, hear about their work and process, and have the opportunity to purchase available work. We are also excited to invite you to participate in our yearly charity auction of original work. This year our auction will be benefiting the Vogel Alcove; a non-profit organization on a mission to help young children overcome the lasting and traumatic effects of homelessness. The Lovejoy Visual Art program believes fully in using our gifts to give back to our larger community and would love for you to join us in this yearly tradition.

Safety and Security

School Marshal Regan Aguirre, School Marshal Jorge Jacquez, and Director of Safety and Security Casey Littlefield recently attended a Basic SWAT school, hosted by Charlie Mike Company, in Palestine TX. This Basic SWAT course is recognized by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement, and is the same course that is required for all law enforcement officials in the state of Texas that are joining their organization's SWAT team. The practical application for this training can be for any individual or team that must maintain an emergency perimeter, respond to an emergency incident, or participate in the secondary functions that may further proceed an emergency event.

The Lovejoy ISD School Marshal team is dedicated to enhancing their response capabilities, and strives to raise the bar in all that they do!

Parking at Lovejoy High School

Just a reminder, if you are a student driver and have not purchased a parking pass, please make sure to stop by the school store. All student drivers must have a pass to park at LHS. There should be no students parking in the front of the school.

Students, we need your help in making sure your trash is picked up and thrown away properly in the student parking lot. If we don't dispose of the trash properly, it ends up in our neighbors' backyard where they have animals. We want to be good neighbors and ensure that our trash doesn't end up in their yards. Thank you for your help!
