Husky Happenings
February 12th - February 16th
From Mr. Martin
Next week will be a short week. Please set time aside to attend parent teacher conferences. A great deal of resources are allocated to make time for you to talk with your student’s teachers. We will also have MAP data to review. See you next week.
The last two weeks I have addressed how our students continue to improve and how teaching is evolving. This week I would like to focus on ‘time on task’. Simply put, how much time do we spend with family, with school work, with preparation for instruction, etc. While times change, it is how we spend our time that establishes what is important.
Go TRMS!

February 14th - Teacher Conference Meals
The Trail Ridge Middle School PTA is providing a meal for the teachers during their conferences on Wednesday February 14th, 2018. We are providing pasta and salad catered in from Homestead Kitchen and Bakery. YUM! But we would like to reach out to all the parents of our TRMS students and see if you would be willing to provide some yummy desserts or snacky type foods for them to have as wonderful compliments and additions to their dinner. They will be working hard all evening and we want to make sure they have lots of nourishment to keep them going :) Please have all donated items brought to the school by 12:00pm Noon on February 14th. You may leave them up at the front desk and they will get them to where they need to go.
Book Fair Extended - February 14th 1:00 pm - 8:00 pm, February 15th 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm
From Nurse Collins
The nurse and counselors gave a short presentation to all 5th and 6th grade classes recently regarding personal hygiene and tips on taking care of themselves. This included giving them helpful hints about bathing, dental care, wearing clean clothes and deodorant, and maintaining clean hands, nails and feet. It is our hope that students continue to be proactive in their self care in order to stay healthy!
