In Meadow Park, within the Richmond Fan District is where you'll find this stunning monument. Ferruccio Legnaioli is the artist behind this tasteful art. This monument was dedicated on May 1st, 1930. This is a 7 foot tall bronze statue of a 1754 Infantryman. The base is lined with bronze plates that outline the history of the regiment throughout 7 years.

History!

This monument was dedicated to a state militia regiment formed in 1754, before the Revolutionary War. It was the first volunteer infantry of Virginia. They helped in the war and are now honored in one of Virginia's finest districts.
