National Career Development Month
November is designated as National Career Development Month. This is lifelong process n all of our lives and begins with our Pre-K students. Exploring careers at this age should be fun and engaging. My efforts are mainly focused on self-exploration and career exploration. In self-exploration, we look at our personal interests, skills and values to inform our thinking about a future career and life goals. Career exploration focuses on looking at the large range of career options that are available. This includes being introduced to the various career clusters that are assigned to different grade levels as well as common and uncommon careers within that career cluster.
Thank you for supporting these efforts to give our students a foundation in career development through exploring their interests and the wide variety of careers available.
Gratitude
During the month of November, we tend to be more focused on the things we are thankful for. It is important that you all know that I am thankful for each and every one of you. I am forever grateful for the opportunity to serve the students as well as each of you in this capacity. It is a beautiful thing when you get to live your passion daily.
My hope is that during this month, we will all pause and show Gratitude for our family, coworkers, friends, students, our student's family and so many other blessings. My hope is that we can pass this lesson along to our students as well.
