Pirate Parent-Teacher Conferences
Conferences at Hannah Cole Primary and David Barton Elementary
- Conferences are October 27 from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
- Conferences are scheduled by appointment with your student's teacher. Teachers have shared a Sign-up Genius link message through ClassDojo or an email. If you do not have this information, please contact your child's teacher.
- Families may enter through the front doors.
Conferences at LSE Middle School, Boonville High School, and Boonslick Technical Education Center
Last year, we heard both positive and constructive feedback about making Parent-Teacher Conferences effective and efficient for families. This year, we’ve adjusted to accommodate families who desire a virtual conference and those still seeking traditional in-person conferences. These conferences will take place on October 27.
Virtual Conferences:
BHS - 8:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.
LSE - 8:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.
A virtual conference is ideal for a parent who feels it is necessary to meet with a teacher or two or a parent who does not have the flexibility to leave work or travel. Each conference will be about 15 minutes. If you are interested in a virtual conference, contact your student’s teacher, and they will work to set up a time that works for you and the link to that conference.
In-Person Conferences:
BHS - 12:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
LSE - 12:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
In-person conferences are best for families wishing to visit several teachers or meet with a student’s teachers face to face. In-person conferences are unscheduled. Families simply visit their students’ different classrooms and teachers at their own time/pace. In-person conferences are great for families with new students to the district or families with new students to the building.
Please note the following:
Teachers may sometimes be away from their classrooms to attend conferences for their children. We hope this to be minimally disruptive, but supporting families is an important part of our job as educators.
Peak hours for in-person conferences are typically between 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. You might experience the longest wait times to chat with a teacher during peak hours. If your schedule allows, we encourage you to attend during non-peak hours.
*BTEC Note: Ms. Thies and Mr. Henke will be out of the district on 10/27 and will work with families to schedule conferences at other times if needed.
School Quality Survey- Your Voice Counts!

🏴☠️ Pirate Teacher Proud and Pirate Staff Proud 🏴☠️
Boonville Schools is joining other districts in Missouri for the 2022-23 school year to recognize outstanding teachers in a TeacherProud campaign!
On the second Tuesday of every month, we’ll be highlighting one of our fantastic teachers.
Similar to Teacher Proud, we will honor classified staff members throughout the year with our Pirate Staff Proud honor. Our classified staff members include health staff, food service staff, custodians, paraprofessionals, administrative assistants, etc.
The district needs your help! To nominate an outstanding teacher for Pirate Teacher Proud Tuesday please click the link.
To nominate a deserving classified staff member for the Pirate Staff Proud honor, please click the link and fill out the form.
Nominate as many staff members as you’d like! Nominations will roll over from one month to the next. We’re looking forward to celebrating our entire staff through these initiatives! #OneShipTeacherProud #OneShipStaffProud
Boonville High School College Bingo Day
Boonville High School seniors got to know teachers and staff better as they played "College BINGO," presented by Postsecondary Counselor Tina Smith. Students were each given a BINGO card with educational or college-related segments and encouraged to fill the board with a teacher and staff signature corresponding to each space. Several students received prizes for filling their boards, and many conversations sparked about plans after high school and higher education.
DB Dudes- Male Mentoring at David Barton Elementary
DB Dudes will invite male volunteers to spend time in our building. Through the power of presence, the DB Dudes program aims to provide a safe and productive learning environment through positive influence and interaction from male figures in the classroom, enabling students to thrive as they focus on their education.
Participating in DB Dudes is fun and can fit into practically any schedule! DB Dudes can be fathers, grandfathers, uncles, adult brothers, and male community members. (As with all school-based volunteer programs, background checks will ensure safety for all.)
Are you interested in volunteering or more information? Contact the David Barton office at 660-882-6527 or db@bpsk12.net.
It is SOCK-tober
Two district organizations are celebrating the month of SOCKtober to share the gift of warm, cozy feet with our community during the coming cold months. LSE Honor Society and BTEC DECA are collecting socks and would love to accept all donations of new socks.
BTEC JROTC Welcomes Exciting Opportunity
On October 25 at 9:00 AM, students from BTEC JROTC will have a Blackhawk helicopter ride experience at the BHS turf baseball/softball outfield. The helicopter will arrive in the morning and may cause a flurry of excitement; rest assured, this is a planned, safe activity for JROTC students.
We appreciate the background work that has been necessary to plan and organize this amazing opportunity for our students!
Hannah Cole Students Celebrate Red Ribbon Week
Students in Mrs. Webster's kindergarten class have created their own Red Ribbons in counseling class this week. As they created their ribbons, they had a lesson from Mrs. Jones about remaining drug-free. Way to go, students!
