November is the month of giving thanks at OMS. From our Veterans Day Assembly, to our schoolwide food drive, to the Spirit Day activities centered on gratitude and school community, take a look at some of the November happenings around the school.
Happy Thanksgiving to every student, family member, faculty and staff that make up our OMS family!
For the month of November, we had a school-wide food drive for the Stoughton Food Pantry. We had a little competition among classrooms to score points for the grade for Spirit Day. Thank you to our amazing students and families for helping us to donate more than 1,200 items to our local food pantry. What an amazing showing of support and caring for our community. Thanks also to Student Council for helping to organize the drive.

We've got Spirit....Yes We do!
Wednesday, November 23rd is Spirit Day at OMS. Before the early dismissal for the Thanksgiving break, students will participate in a number of activities designed to promote school spirit, a sense of community, and gratitude. At the end of the morning, one grade will get the trophy and the bragging rights that come with being named the OMS Spirit Day Champs!
Veterans Day Assembly
We held a Veterans Day assembly for 8th graders on Thursday, November 10th. We welcomed some local veterans for breakfast and to be interviewed by some of our 8th grade students. After breakfast, the 8th grade students introduced the veterans to the rest of the 8th grade and helped to share their story of service. We awarded our Veteran of the Year Award and had a wonderful opportunity to thank these veterans for their service and sacrifice. Thanks to Mrs. Valair for coordinating the assembly.
