31n Staff here is something for you and your schools.


We have some exciting news to share! The Michigan School Health Coordinators' Association (MiSHCA) is hosting the fourth Connecting with Kids through School Health Conference. It will take place June 20-21, 2022 at the Great Wolf Lodge in Traverse City, MI.


The conference is focusing on the Whole Child and the theme encompasses leadership, partnership, strategies and programs that meet the health and wellness needs of students. MiSHCA promotes the health and safety of students, families, and school staff using research-based approaches that improve students' academic and health outcomes.


Conference audience: Social Workers, Administrators, Teachers, Counselors, Nurses, Intervention Specialists, School-Based Health Center Staff, Prevention Workers, Nutrition Educators, School Health Coordinators, and anyone interested in healthy students.


Registration for the conference will open in early spring. Lauren Kazee approved that 31n 12 funds will cover this conference! Please, spread the word to your team and locals. Please, invite other folks from your district who might be interested in our other conference offerings like PE, Nutrition, etc.


Social Work CEUs will be available.

Call for Presenters


The conference call for presenter application is now open and the deadline is Friday, February 4th, 2022. If you are interested in presenting, please apply! We are seeking Workshop Session Proposals for interactive, inclusive, and highly engaging 75-minute workshops emphasizing tried-and-true strategies relevant to school health and the whole child.


Our conference theme encompasses leadership, partnership, strategies and programming that meet the needs of the whole child, ultimately ensuring academic success. This includes social, emotional and physical health, as well as environmental and school climate indicators.

Call for Vendors and Sponsors

If you work for an organization that supports and serves the Whole Child, consider applying as a vendor at the conference! Conference participants will have a chance to visit your table and receive more information about the services that you provide to young ]people in your area and across the state.


Currently, we are in the process of gathering sponsors for our event. If your business or organization would like to sponsor this important event, please fill out our sponsorship form, and we will be in contact with you. You can also share this form with any business or organization that you believe would want to sponsor us. Sponsoring this event will help us provide a high quality experience for our attendees and is a great way to support the Whole Child.
