App Alert

Our kids are constantly using technology! As teachers and parents, it's even more crucial that we have an idea of what our children are engaged in online. At CES, we promote using technology to build our students' knowledge base and academic capabilities. We support collaboration and socialization both in person and online. However, we do not support the use of apps that expose our children to strangers and other dangers in the environment. Please be aware of your children using apps (such as Kik, Snapchat, and Instagram) where anyone could easily access personal information about your child.

All students have recently learned about Online Safety in their Guidance or Writing specials. It is always a good time to remind them of safe and appropriate online behavior. If your child brings their own technology to school, please make sure the apps that are installed are school approved.
