REMINDER DATES:
November 20th: 2nd grade Thanksgiving Feast. This will include both 2nd grade classes. Room mothers will be contacting you to bring or send something to share for our feast . We currently have 25 students. We will be celebrating all that we are thankful for during our lunch time at 11:00. Students will be free to leave after that, but will need to be
checked out. Please be mindful that we do have students with peanut allergies. All families are invited to attend.
November 23rd-27th: Thanksgiving Break
A few reminders:
*If you have box tops, please send them to your student's classroom teacher
* Please check your student's Warrior Binder nightly.
* Homework: students will have a math homework page, math facts, spelling homework and reading homework.
If your student is bringing home anything else, please know that it is unfinished classwork which means they are not using their time wisely.
We would like for you to help us stress the importance of completing their work in class. We do not want to have to send home any more work than we have to.
Are you excited? We are!
DECEMBER 11, 2015
Wicked plants: Bad to the Bone
Where: Stark Museum and Shangri La
Departure from School: 8:00 am on the big bus
Lunch: students will need to bring a sack lunch
Return to school: 2:30pm
Information for Chaperones from Shangri La:
Adults will have to pay entry of $10.00 if they want to visit both venues.
The parents are welcome to visit the venues, but too many will distract from the educational concepts we teach during your visit. The museum has limited space in their Art Studio portion of their program, but the museum tour should be fine.
Please remind parents that they are welcome to come, but they are expected to set an example for the students. So no excessive talking, cell phones or disruptions during the programs.
We also ask that you do not bring siblings.
