Mrs. Buck's Class Newsletter
March 11th-15th
A Note from Mrs. Hartman
Dear Parents,
Next week will be my final week for student teaching. I am so grateful for the opportunity I’ve had to learn with your children. They have taught me so much and I will miss them dearly. I plan to visit them again, before the end of the school year. I want to thank all of you for your support during my time in the classroom. Many of you sent in props that supported our studies. I was very touched by the kind words many of you shared when I had the opportunity to meet you. I have been truly blessed with a great mentor teacher, students, and families during my time at Thorpe Creek. I wish all of you the best and know that your children will do great things. They have wonderful ideas, creative minds, kind hearts, and adventurous spirits that will take them far.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Hartman

Backpacks and Peanut Butter
I am Lania from Mrs. Wallace's class.
Did you know it is almost one month until spring vacation? My family and I are doing something extra special. We are traveling to the country of Haiti, where I was born. Haiti is very beautiful, yet a poor country. The children need our help. They told my mom they really need backpacks and peanut butter. Can you help by donating a new or gently used backpack and a fresh jar of peanut butter? We will be collecting these items until the 22nd in a box by the front office.
Thank you TCE cardinals and together we will bless Haiti!

Snacks
Snacks in First Grade-
TCE teachers understand the importance of fueling both our students’ minds and bodies; therefore, first grade students may bring in snacks to be eaten mid-afternoon. However, due to allergy concerns, the following procedures must be followed:
· Snacks will NEVER be shared by other students.
· Snacks need to be brought to school with the child. If snacks are forgotten at home, parents do not need to bring the snack to school. If your child forgets their snack, a school-approved snack will be offered to your child.
Snack List:
Goldfish crackers
Skinny Pop Popcorn
Cheese sticks or cubes
Fresh fruit
Veggies
STUDENTS ARE WELCOME TO BRING WATER BOTTLES TOO! :)
