Hippocrates
The Father of Medicine
Hippocrates was a great doctor. He lived from 460-377 B.C. He was born on the Island of Kos, Greece. he was called The Father of Medicine because he found the best medicines in the world up to that time.
Little was known about his life except that he gathered all of the best medicines up to that time that would not have been figured out for a long time because no one would have had as much determination as Hippocrates did.
Hippocrates figured out that a disease was caused by an imbalance of the 4 fluids:
- Blood
- Phlegm
- Yellow Bile
- Black Bile
