Suwanee Express
Week of September 9th
It was so much fun welcoming our Suwanee grandparents and guests last week. Our grandparents and students were beaming. This is one of my favorite events. I want to give a big shout of thanks to our amazing cafe, custodian, and support staff for all their hard work in making this event special. It truly takes a team, and the Suwanee team is the absolute best.
It's time.....that's right Jaguar Jamboree time. Join us Friday evening (starts at 5:30) for a Suwanee community event. Pre-order your meal tickets to ensure dinner is all set. See details from PTA below. Also, Suwanee Serves continues, so bring a donation for the North Gwinnett Food Co-Op for your child's chance at the Dunk Tank. Have a great week!
Your Proud Principal,
Mary Taylor

News from Mrs. Duncan (Media Specialist)
This book fair was a HUGE success. We were able to increase our total sales by almost $2000 from the same fair last year. Our total sales after taxes are taken out was $14,589.53. Our media program benefits greatly from this fund-raiser. 25% of the total in sales will be given to our school to support our author visit (in conjunction with funds from our PTA), funds are also used to provide reading incentives throughout the school year and to purchase books for our media center. A special thanks to the many grandparents that visited for lunch and brought their grandchildren shopping.
Thank you so much to all of the wonderful parents that helped make our book fair such a success. We could not do this without our parent volunteers!!
We had a great team of volunteers that made setting up and packing up a fun experience. It was our pleasure to see so many familiar faces returning to help and also to meet new faces that were willing to jump right in and sign up to volunteer at our first book fair for the year.
We hope that our students are busy reading their new books and filling out their "Links to Success"!
