Mr. Haja's Class

Important Information

Math: It is crucial that your child is regularly studying their math facts. We are practicing in class but students should also be studying outside of school either with frontrow, flashcards, or a method of your choosing in order to assure fact mastery.

Reading: Students should be reading a minimum or 15-20 minutes from a book on their independent reading level every day in order to improve their fluency as well as comprehension. Students will greatly benefit from you asking them comprehension questions regarding the characters, setting, key events, theme, main idea, and plot/solution of their stories.

I will be sending more information home in the future for anyone interested in volunteering either during Math (9:45-10:20) or during Reading/Daily 5 ( 1:45-2:30)

Class Dojo

Class Dojo is a behavior management tool in which students receive and lose "points" for various positive and negative behaviors that are exhibited in the classroom. You are able to follow your students behaviors throughout the course of the day but signing into the app. Log in information for parents was sent home early in the year, If you need another log in form please let me know.

I am trying to post pictures from the happenings of our classroom at least once a week. Please continue to look for them.
