Principal's Message
Baywood School has a group of parents and staff called the School Site Council (SSC). This is an elected body who has the responsibility of overseeing Baywood's School Plan and budget.
We have two open seats for parents on Baywood's School Site Council. It is a two year term and we meet 6 times per year. Our meeting dates for the 2016-2017 school year are 9/12, 10/17, 12/12, 2/6, 4/10 & 6/5. If you are interested or know someone who would be great, please write your name/their name on a nomination slip in our front office. Nominations will be taken now through June 6.
We will vote for new members on our meeting at June 8 at 3:00-4:00. All SSC meetings are open to the public. If you think you may be interested, but are not sure, talk with me or come to our June 8th meeting to see what it is all about. Thank you for your involvement in our school.
Respectfully,
Jennifer Dinielli

COLOR VISION SCREENING -1ST GRADE BOYS
During March and April, the school nurse will be screening first grade boys for color vision. This is a simple screening routinely done at this age to rule out color vision deficiencies. Please send a note addressed to the school nurse if you do not wish your child to be screened. A letter will be sent home to parents of students who fail the exam.
