Principal's Message

Dear MPS families-

What a great transition we have had as we moved to the hybrid model a few weeks ago. Our staff were ready and worked hard to ensure a smooth transition for all students. Our hybrid and virtual classes are in full swing!

As we continue to navigate the hybrid model, with some students in the building and others attending virtually, we appreciate your patience as our teachers continue to tweak their schedules and the use of their technology to best meet the needs of all students.

If you are in need of technology support while instruction is occurring, please see our NEW "Technology Troubleshooting Tips" in this newsletter. These links will also be permanently posted on our website. You can also call the front office, after you have accessed the "Technology Troubleshooting Tips" section, and still need assistance. Mr. Shafer, our user support specialist, may be able to assist you more quickly than your students teacher. If you need to leave a message for Mr. Shafer, please include the following:

  • Students name
  • Your name and contact information for follow-up
  • The issue you are experiencing

Please continue to screen your child for symptoms and keep them home if any are present. FCPS will continue to send a reminder through Schoology each week, with the protocol and screening procedures. Your attention to the screening protocols is very important and will help us continue to ensure a safe learning environment for all.

Kindly,

Sandy Fox

Masks

Our students are doing an amazing job wearing masks in school. Thank you for supporting them with this before hybrid began. Masks are still required and we have masks available at school if needed.
