France in State of Emergency
Flooding in france causes state of emergency.
Worst In Years
In the worst flooding in the French Rivera in years, 9 people are suspected dead and 4 more missing. Hundreds of clean-up officers clad in diving suits and carrying chainsaws were seen removing trees and debris strewn around a river on Monday. With all that has happened in this disaster France has declared a state of emergency. Because of the common occurrence of weather warnings in the region the French citizens took the alert lightly which caused the French prime minister to question his decision to be a red alert.
The region's worst flood in the past 25 years was in June 2010, when 25 people were killed, causing one billion euros of damage.
