Fun Run/Panther 5K

Hi Panther Families!

On Friday, May 6th at 11:15 am our students will be participating in our Annual Fun Run.

There is no cost to participate, but we do ask that families register their child on the class page, using the links below, and create a personalized fundraising page that can be sent out to friends and family for them to support your child's participation efforts.

Need help signing up? No Problem! The steps are:

1. Select the link for your child's grade - see the list above. Click on "Join" and fill in the information.

2. Do not click "Add another registrant" unless you have 2 students in the same grade. Otherwise, your children will all be signed up on the same grade team. Click "Continue."

3. Next, scroll to read and click the box to sign the waiver. Click "Continue."

4. Choose your child's t-shirt size and click "Continue."

5. Scroll to the bottom of the page where you can make a donation to your child's page, or if you don't want to make a donation during setup, simply click "Continue."

6. Check that all info is correct on this next page and click "Complete Registration."

7. After that, you will receive a confirmation of registration email and a new fundraiser email. In the new fundraiser email, you will find a link to send to family and friends, as well as a link to update/edit your child's fundraising page.

8. The link to edit your child's fundraising page is very important! By following that link, you will be able to set a goal for his/ her page, create a personalized URL, make the page hidden from public search lists, upload a picture and story if you choose, and more! Be sure to save any changes you make to your child's page and then feel free to send out the personalized link to all your family and friends!

Description: Check-in participants and pass out goody bags/t-shirts to participants

5K Run / Walk and 1/2 Mile Kids Dash Race Day Volunteers - Registration and Check In

Date: Saturday, May 7th, 6-10 am

Time: approximately 4 hours

Location: STMM

Spots Available: 10

Description: volunteers in this position will help take payments for race day registration & check-in runners who have already registered online and hand them t-shirts and goody bags. Also, they will help set up the post-race party, including displaying and cutting the food items. They will direct runners to restrooms and the start line.

5K Run / Walk and 1/2 Mile Kids Dash Race Day Volunteers - Timing Assistants and Course Marshals

Date: Saturday, May 7th, 7:30 am-10 am

Time: 3 hours

Location: STMM

Spots Available: 15

Description: volunteers in this position will meet at STMM school. From there, you will be assigned a spot along the course with one other volunteer. At that spot, you will cheer the runners on and also direct runners / make sure they do not go off course. Please wear sunscreen and be prepared to stand for a few hours. Volunteers in these positions may bring their own lawn chair to sit in if they cannot stand that whole time. A few volunteers will also be assigned to be trained to assist with race timing.

5K Run / Walk and 1/2 Mile Kids Dash Race Day Volunteers - Post-Race Assistant

Date: Saturday, May 7th, 8 am-10 am

Time: 2 hours -Location: STMM

Spots Available: 10

Description: volunteers in this position will assist race finishers with water & food, and they will also replenish post-race food as needed and direct runners to post-race festivities, answer runner questions, assist the race director with finisher data for awards, and help the race director pull raffle winners and hand out raffle prizes. Also, a few people in this role will help with breaking down the event and cleaning up/ loading all supplies.

Pizza Day UPDATE - PLEASE REVIEW

Pizza days will continue until the end of the year each week. If your child is absent and you ordered pizza we are unable to refund your money or give you a credit for the following week.

Pizzas are ordered and paid of bases on the number of orders submitted.

When sending in cash please send exact amounts.

IMPORTANT - Reminder of Non-Uniform Attire:

As the spring brings warmer temps and students look to wear shorts, STMM would like to remind all families about the out-of-uniform dress code.

SHORTS:

As a reminder, only UNIFORM shorts may be worn for spirit wear days AND free dress passes.

Non-uniform and spirit wear pants and shorts:

Students can wear jeans, athletic pants (not yoga or tight-fitting), chino pants, or capris. Legging will not be permitted unless the dress or top worn is at least one inch above the knee or longer. Pants cannot have rips or holes.
We are increasingly sensitive to the fact that measuring short length is a process that can invite unwelcome attention to students. Unfortunately, measuring shorts length is not a science; therefore, to eliminate problems surrounding these judgment calls, uniform shorts will be the only shorts permitted for spirit wear days and out-of-uniform days for both male and female students. Female students can also wear their uniform skirts.

St. Margaret Mary Parish has several stewardship opportunities. These opportunities would count towards parish stewardship.

Funeral Help - Dee Gard is the Coordinator but additional help is needed. If there is a visitation here it starts at 10:00 am with a mass at 11:00 am. Sometimes it's just a mass at 11:00 am. If there is visitation, you will need to set up chairs and tables, sometimes easels for pictures, greet the family, etc. During the mass, you will need to get the water and incense ready. One of our coordinators will show you what you need to do. So it could be anywhere from 2.5 to 3.5 hours per funeral.
