Principal's Message - Nov. 24th (English)
Happy Tuesday!
I am sending the newsletter out today, since we do not have school tomorrow. This is a short week, but a busy one. All of the teachers will be doing full days (and much longer for the 2nd/3rd grade team) on Monday and Tuesday, so that they can meet with all of you regarding your children's progress. It is a wonderful chance to share the successes and challenges of each child from the first trimester. We are all a part of a valuable team working towards the goal of success for each and every child. Please take the opportunity to thank the teachers for all that they do every single day. Teaching is a very difficult career, but so rewarding. Few other jobs have such a direct impact on the future generations of our society! I am grateful to all of our teachers (and all of our staff). We could not do this without their tireless work! It doesn't end there, though. Without dedicated families, we would not be able to accomplish our goals. So, thank you to each and every one of you! From supporting student learning at home to volunteering all throughout the school, you are integral to the success of Holy Rosary School!
I want to wish all of you a wonderful and safe Thanksgiving Break. We'll see you back next Monday!

Fulcrum Tuition Assistance for 2016 - 2017!!
FAMILIES NEEDING ANY FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE MUST READ/APPLY:
The window of time has opened for next year's tuition assistance application. This is an opportunity to receive $1100 for each child in grades K - 8, based on a family's income level. You can apply at: http://www.fulcrumfoundation.org/apply-for-grant/assistance/. This application is available in both Spanish and English. As we prepare for tuition contract meetings this Spring, please note that families will not be eligible for any financial assistance through Holy Rosary school UNLESS they have first applied through the Fulcrum Foundation. This means that no contracts will be negotiated without applying first through Fulcrum. Berenice (at the Front Desk) is happy to help parents complete the online application. If you need to schedule a time to meet with her to go through the application, please email her at office@hrrsjda.org. Applications must be completed by Friday, Dec. 4th. A Prayer Request
Please hold in your prayers those who do not have families with which to spend the holidays. This can be a very challenging time for people in need.

Curriculum Corner!!
Here are some tips for effective parent-teacher conferences:
Be on time (or early) for the meeting.
End the meeting on time. Other parents will probably have a conference after yours.
Relax and be yourself.
Ask the most important questions first.
Ask for explanations of anything you don't understand.
Ask your child's teacher for ways that you can help your child at home.
Thank the teacher.
