Passions, Dreams, and Making
All students have passions, dreams and are natural makers. My goal is to foster a culture that empowers students to be actively engaged in topics that are relevant to them. Student voice is critical, and through diverse learning opportunities students will develop confidence, and the ability to present learning in a collaborative manner with their teammates. This school year students will be exploring topics that they're passionate about and have the opportunity to make a variety of creations from their imagination in our makerspace. While the common core standards are the foundation of our learning, students will partake in project based learning that promotes student ownership of ideas and the process of learning. Please check out the links to learn more.

Coding is the New Literacy
While we don't explicitly teach coding in school at this point, I can tell you that as we prepare students to be future ready we need to provide them with every opportunity to be successful. Google recently stated that they seek more employees who can code (computer programming), but struggle to find coders from the USA. Coding ability is an asset. In order to be proactive I've included many links below for your child to use in the classroom or at home.

Meet Mrs. Bostwick
- I feel very fortunate to work alongside students and be able to see them make tremendous growth socially, emotionally, and academically each year.
- In our learning space I enjoy finding new ways to foster curiosity and the joy of learning. I'm always eager to learn and grow to continuously improve for students.
- My husband (Mr. Bostwick, Intermediate School principal) and I have two sons, Julian and Nolan, who we love to play and read with. They're busy with school, piano, sports, and exploring outside.
- During my free time I enjoy spending time with friends and family, running, biking, hiking, and reading.
- We have two dogs named Bella and Marley. Both are cockapoos who are best buds.
- My family and I love to travel when time allows. We especially enjoy going to NYC and beaches along the east coast.
