Soy el orgulloso padre de una hija (Hannah), y un hijo (Avi), con mi maravillosa esposa Doris. Nacido en New Jersey, pero criado en Puerto Rico, amo la playa, el clima caliente, hablar español y música salsa!
Lucas Lauer
Hey everyone, I’m Luke and I am really excited to be joining the Stone Bridge Counseling team this year! I have been a school counselor for the past 14 years in Frederick County, Virginia, primarily focused on transitioning student to and from middle school and guiding them through the emotional rollercoaster that is middle school. I am passionate about working with scholars and watching them develop, especially when they can recognize the potential they have. I am also passionate about learning new things, sharing knowledge learned and learning about other people and what they are passionate about.
Outside of school, I love being outside and engaging in physical activity. Most mornings I start the day off with a nice long run. On weekends I enjoy hiking parts of the Appalachian trail, kayaking, and spending time with family and friends. Currently I live in Winchester, Virginia with my 10-year-old foxhound coonhound mix Molly. When I can’t be outside, I spend my time playing videogames, doing home improvement projects, trying new cooking recipes, and knitting. I am looking forward to meeting everyone in Stone Bridge community and working with you!
Career & Technical Education
Lisa Hughes
I am so excited to teach Gourmet Foods and Personal Finance at Stone Bridge. I am passionate about preparing food with natural wholesome ingredients and am excited to teach students how to prepare delicious food. This summer I have been experimenting with all the amazing foods that you can make in a mug in your microwave. My family's favorite so far is a decadent chocolate zucchini soufflé. I love to hang out with my dogs and family, paddle board, box and and teach water aerobics. This is my 12th year in Loudoun County where I have worked as a Reading teacher. Working with students is my favorite part of teaching and I am so excited to work with students with Gourmet Foods and Personal Finance and these are major stepping stones for the venture in adulting.
Terry Lucas-Fields
I wanted to be a teacher so badly that I changed careers! About 14 years ago, I left the office environment and walked into the classroom, and realized I had just made the best decision in my life. I enjoy working with students as they explore and experiment with ideas and concepts, and truly believe there is no such thing as failing; it is just "a process of elimination."
I am excited to return to high school after teaching Tech Engineering and Robotics at middle school, and I look forward to the energy of high school students. Now when I drive down Route 7, I will be turning right at Belmont Ridge Road for Stone Bridge High, instead of left for Belmont Ridge Middle.
This year I am teaching Technical Drawing, Engineering Drawing, and Personal Finance. During Distance Learning I will probably be teaching from the banks the Catoctin Creek that runs through our property, and hopefully can share the wildlife that strolls past.
English
Alexandria Quigley
I became a teacher so that I can inspire others to harbor a love and appreciation for learning in a way that is meaningful and impactful for them. I will be teaching English 11A and 12A this year at Stone Bridge. Outside of the classroom I enjoy mountain bike riding, hiking, yoga, and creative writing. I am excited to return to the Virginia area near family after living in Colorado for two years.
Fine Arts
Faith Ibarra
I am excited to teach art classes at the high school level. In addition, I'll be teaching Drama, Journalism, Photography, Video Productions, and hopefully Creative Writing at Trailside. Getting caught up in the excitement of my classes every year and watching them change over time is the best part of being a teacher for me.
I am very passionate about traveling the world and seeing new places. I've worked in 10 different countries and loved every single one of them. I am also VERY passionate about parrots. I have nine and can't imagine life without them. I love the sun, surf, and sand. Anywhere there is a beautiful beach, crashing waves, and swaying palm trees, I'm there. My favorite beaches so far are Natal, Brazil and Islamorada, Florida.
Liney Marks
Hi! My name is Caroline Marks, but most people call me Liney. I am the new theatre teacher and director at Stone Bridge. I will also be teaching 9th grade honors English. I am very passionate about teaching theatre because it is a place where all students can find a place to contribute creatively and be accepted as part of a community. I look forward to working with students, colleagues, and parents on making our theatre department the best it can be. I am excited to go to Stone Bridge because it means a return to my alma mater. I graduated in 2006 and was very active in the formative years of Running Dog Productions. In my free time, I enjoy roller skating with my daughter Molly, playing music with my husband, designing my island on Animal Crossing, and laughing at our two cats named Titus and Romeo. Yes, my cats have Shakespearean names! I am looking forward to meeting all of you.
Megan Stallings
Hello! My name is Ms. Stallings and I will be joining Mr. Keller as an Assistant Band Director. I am super excited to join the Stone Bridge community! During the day when I am not working with the Stone Bridge bands, I am teaching general music at Newton-Lee Elementary. Outside of school, I am pursuing my Masters Degree in Wind Band Conducting, enjoy hanging out with Yoshi (my 8 year old dachshund), and love to play video games with friends.
Mathematics
Damanjit Singh
I am excited to join Stone Bridge HS and share my love for math with students. I will be teaching Algebra II/Trig H and Precalculus next year and look forward to working in collaboration with SBHS staff and families. Besides teaching, I like learning about new architectural and design ideas and spending time outdoors with my family, including hiking and visiting new places.
Alan Tarrab
My name is Alan Tarrab and I will be teaching Geometry and Algebra II / Trigonometry at Stone Bridge. I lived in Northern Virginia for six years, and I’m happy to be back. I love teaching and I love math. I’m looking forward to creating a joyful classroom where students are actively learning about cool new stuff!
Outside of teaching, I’m passionate about civil engineering, which is my academic background, and specifically within that field, railroad transportation and safe drinking water. If you want me to bore you with the details of either, just ask! On the weekends, you might find me sailing on the Potomac, harnessing the wind’s energy to get where I want to go. I will warn you though: there may be some math involved!
Jackline Yim
Hello! My name is Jackline Yim and I will be teaching Algebra and Geometry this year. As a Northern Virginia native, I am very excited to start my first year at Stone Bridge and with the Loudoun County Public School system.
I understand that math can be a subject difficult to develop a relationship with and that there is a complexity of emotions with which people tend to approach it. It is my teaching passion to make learning math an accessible, non-frightening, and (hopefully, ultimately) enjoyable experience.
Outside of teaching, I can be found partaking in (too) many hobbies, including (but, not limited to) creative writing, jewelry making, mixed media art, cooking/catering, singing/rapping, watching an excessive number of films, pining after cats, and language immersion. I look forward to meeting and speaking with each one of you!
Thank you for your time and efforts. I hope you have a relaxing weekend!
Jackline Yim
Science
Caitlin Leitz
My name is Caity Leitz and I will be teaching earth science. This will be my first year teaching and I am so excited to share my passion for science and our planet. In my free time I enjoy hiking, fishing, and tending to my large collection of tropical plants.
Social Sciences
Zach Collins
My name is Zach Collins and I am so happy to have my first year of teaching be at Stone Bridge High School! I will be teaching AP World History and Academic World 2. I have been in Loudoun County all of my life -- I graduated from Loudoun County High School and have worked as a teaching assistant for eight years. I love to teach to not only share a subject I love, history, but to get to know and build connections with my students. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with friends, table top/video gaming, trivia, and performing improv comedy.
Dean Peev
I am passionate about learning. As I continue to learn, I want to share that knowledge and experience with others. By understanding the world and its people better we gain more of an appreciation of how much we can all learn from one another. I like being a teacher because I can impact students' lives by guiding them toward fulfilling their aspirations. I decided to come to Stone Bridge because I want to play more of a part in my community. This year I will be teaching World History I and Economics. I have two children and love to watch them compete in their respective sports. I am also fascinated with the arts and languages, which I continue to study avidly. Looking forward to a great year!
Jennifer Snyder
My name is Jennifer Snyder. I graduated from Penn State this past Spring and am so excited to start my career as a teacher at Stone Bridge! I will be teaching Intro to AP World History and US and VA Government. I was drawn to Stone Bridge because of the school’s emphasis on global connections, which is my favorite part of learning and teaching history. I am eager to get to know my students and to make connections between their interests and our class. Outside of school, I am a huge sports fan. Hockey is my favorite, but I can get invested in just about any sport. I also love to read and listen to podcasts in my spare time. I’m so excited to join the Bulldog team this Fall!
Special Education
Kylie Hrncir
I was born in Australia and grew up in Houston, Texas. Prior to moving to Loudoun, I spent 20 years as a trailing spouse overseas with the U.S. Army/State Department. I came into teaching accidentally, as I was originally pursuing a behavioral psychology path. During my studies, I started working at a school for children with special needs and I became very interested in becoming a teacher, where I could work with students AND follow my passion for behavioral psychology. When my oldest son started at Stone Bridge, I attended the back to school night and was so impressed with the sense of teamwork that the teachers presented that I knew I wanted to teach here. This year, I’m team teaching English 9 and 11. Outside of school, you’ll find me running, walking my Polish Lowland Sheepdog (Winn Dixie), playing games with my family, and finding new ways to enjoy the outdoors and the overall lovely weather that Northern Virginia has to offer.

Charlotte Ratcliff
Hi Stone Bridge High School Community! I'm so excited to be a Bulldog and start my Special Education teaching career in blue and white!
I grew up in Loudoun County and have a ton of friends who attended Stone Bridge. Now as an adult, I have a few friends who teach here and I have heard nothing but fantastic things about the school. I decided to come to Stone Bridge because of the atmosphere that exists among the staff and students - something I'm so ecstatic to be a part of.
When I am out of the classroom, I am coaching travel soccer for SYA Soccer Club along with coaching varsity soccer at Centreville High School. I am very passionate about youth sports and advocating for young athletes! This also ties into why I decided to become a teacher - I grew up playing soccer at a high level which led me to play in college. While I was a student, I had a high school teacher who was my biggest supporter off the field, throughout my educational experience. I want to provide my students with that support in all areas of their life - I want to be the teacher that I needed (and had) when I was in high school. In the fall, I will be co-teaching 11th grade and 12th grade English. I look forward to meeting my students very soon!

Aaron Vanderheiden
Greetings fellow Bulldogs! My name is Aaron Vanderheiden and I am incredibly happy and excited to be joining the team as the new special education teacher for students with MD. I am a graduate of LCPS (Potomac Falls) and I found my calling to become an educator after subbing in special education rooms after college (JMU). I got my undergrad in Sociology, but it became very apparent to me that this field is where I belong. I think we can all agree that helping others learn and grow is pretty awesome.
Outside of school I enjoy my time with my family, my wife Tanya and my two daughters Nora (5, in pic with me) and Ella (soon 2). Everything old is new again through their fresh eyes. I am an 80s Nintendo child and been a lifelong gamer, including tabletop games like Dungeons and Dragons. Avid fan of what people would call “geek” culture, love comics, movies, tv, music, art, all the arts really. Currently missing things like concerts and the movie theater experience. Love being active. Love to golf. Love the beach. I also enjoy meeting new people and look forward to this new school year!
Brian Wolf
My name is Mr. Wolf, this will be my eighth year teaching Special Education at the high school level and my first at Stone Bridge High School. I am excited to be part of a successful school and community that values tolerance, hard work and perseverance. Along with teaching, I will be coaching football for the Bulldogs. I have been a college and high school football coach for over 20 years at several different schools. Having a positive impact on young people and helping them learn and grow is the most gratifying aspect of my career.
This year I will be team teaching 4 periods of Earth Science with Mr. Evosirch and 1 Study Hall. I am looking forward to working with the students and sharing experiences on seeing science all around us. Learning about Earth Science helps us appreciate the world around us and all it has to offer.
When I’m not teaching and coaching football, I enjoy spending time with my wife and son at my camp, trout fishing, hiking, hunting and building a cabin. In my youth, I played college football and baseball in addition to serving our country in the U.S. Navy as an Aviation Ordananceman.
World Languages
Natasha Ludwig-Page
I'm Natasha Ludwig. I'm fairly new to VA, having just moved here in the summer of 2019 from Nebraska where I taught for 19 years. I'll be getting married this November. We have 5 kids together. I love football (Go Huskers and Go Pack Go!!) and am a total Tour de France junkie (going through withdrawal this year). I like to be active in medical causes due to my kids, particularly epilepsy and prematurity awareness.
I'll be teaching French 1, 2, and 3. I love teaching French because it combines two of my passions. French language and culture plus kids. I particularly like students high-school age. They seem to get me and my sense of humor. I love when students see the connections between French language (word families) and history (Holy Roman Empire, Marie Curie, photography) and other subject areas. Watching that light bulb come on is amazing.
Sharyn Meneau
I'm excited to come to Stone Bridge and teach French this year. I am a mother of 3 daughters, one of which attends Stone Bridge presently. My most memorable experiences besides giving birth (ha!) include attending school, living and working in France, Senegal and Martinique. What struck me most is the variety of values, traditions and smiles in each locale. These days, I love working out at the gym to clear my head, reading historical fiction and solving puzzles.
Beth Schuster
I am endlessly fascinated by German history and culture, and love getting to teach about it. More broadly, I love teaching a language because they unlock cultures and promote positive intercultural interactions. I’m teaching German 1 and 2 next year. Outside school during normal times, I sing with the Fairfax Choral Society, enjoy sprint triathlons, and go to historical miniature wargaming conventions.
Samantha Vasquez
Grüß Gott! My name is Frau Vasquez, and I’ll be teaching German 3, 4, 5, and AP this year at Stone Bridge. This is my first year teaching, but I am passionate about languages (I also speak Italian!) and celebrating different cultures. I love teaching languages because I am able to watch students’ skills grow in real time; from only knowing a few words or phrases to having full conversations. It’s amazing to open the door for students to enjoy music, news, movies, and a host of other opportunities that would have been inaccessible without learning a language. I’m excited to join the Stone Bridge team because it encourages creativity and fun as a compliment to academic achievement, which I wholeheartedly believe in. My motto is: there is always something new to learn!
When I’m not in the classroom, I enjoy cooking, gardening, and spoiling my cat. I love being outdoors in the summer and will find any excuse to go to the beach, but as soon as the weather gets cold, you’ll find me sitting inside with a good book!
