Street Parking During Arrival/Dismissal

It's no secret that parking at TES/ELC is limited and the problem is excacerbated during arrival and dismissal as cars line up for the active drop-off/pick-up routine and others park on the street to walk to the building to meet their children at the door.

Public safety officials have reached out to voice concern over the ability of emergency vehicles to make it through during those two time periods and have asked that we ask families to take into consideration whether an emergency vehicle would be able to get by you when choosing a parking spot.

We have appreciated the positive feedback regarding the few changes we made to our routine from previous years in the name of student safety, but we do recognize it is likely partially to blame for the congestion on the side streets around the school.

We appreciate you taking this into consideration and your patience while we work through the proper channels to make bigger changes to the parking lot that should ease some of the problems.

This Week in PE

We continued our Halloween themed activities throughout the month of October with our general education classes, focusing on critical thinking, matching, and tossing and catching.

Our Insights programs focused on balance and rolling and catching. VERY proud of our students with special needs. They are following our Physical Education routines and showing improvements every week!

STEM in Library/Media

We worked on a fun STEM challenge this week. Students built Spider Web bridges and the challenge was to see how many blocks their bridge could hold. Miss Frank’s class had 2 students with over 50 blocks stacked in their bridge. Future engineers for sure!
