December 2021 Edition
Inclusive Schools Week!
Rebuilding requires a blueprint that guides construction from a solid foundation to the roof—a blueprint designed with active engagement from our students, their families, educators and the community. Two-way communication is critical to determine priorities for needs and to create a design that works.
Rebuilding demands the right tools. Teaching resiliency is a powerful tool to help combat the fears and uncertainty of constructing a new environment—one that restores and revives the basic human need to belong. Rebuilding emphasizes the need for quality materials and resources to upgrade services that take inclusion to the next level for student success.
We look forward to hearing your stories and lessons learned from your own rebuilding process. We will share those success stories through the Inclusive Schools Network, so together we can continue the work of supporting successful inclusive communities worldwide!
Parent Education Diversity Awareness
All of the workshops offered by SSD's Parent Education and Diversity Awareness Program are provided free of charge and are open to all parents, families and community members.
Due to the ongoing pandemic, all of our currently scheduled workshops will be held virtually.
After registering, participants will be provided with information about the platform that will be used for the workshop.
If you are unable to attend the live workshop, please still register so that we can send you the link to the recording a day or two after the workshop.
The workshops will be set up as webinars, so you will be able to see the panelists but not other attendees. Your confirmation and reminder email will contain information about how to submit questions to the panelists in advance, or you can use the chat and Q&A features during the workshop. If you have any questions, please let us know.
If you need more information, or if you require an alternative format as addressed by the Americans with Disabilities Act, contact ssdpeda@ssdmo.org, 314.989.8460 or 711 (Deaf/HOH).
Registration Options
To register for a workshop, please email ssdpeda@ssdmo.org or call 314.989.8460.
