OCPD Visit

Thanks goes to Shaunna Olson, for this fabulous picture she took Thursday morning. We are grateful to the Ogden City Police Department for choosing Bonneville as the recipient for their "Make a Difference Day." We had well over a hundred parents visit for breakfast that morning along with many students who chose to stay and eat with our officers. We are also thankful to the Weber State women's basketball players who volunteered. It was a great experience for our students and a blessing to the school. Our students are excited about the new playground equipment and hopefully have a little different view of our city's police department. I want to give a special thanks to Camille Fraga and crew and Blake Roybal for the extra efforts they went through to feed so many people! The OCPD will be back this coming Thursday with officers on bicycles who will eat lunch with our students and show students how they use their bikes to keep our neighborhoods safe. 3rd Meets DIBELS goals

In accordance with R277-406.3, Ogden School District reports the percentage of third grade students who made typical, above typical, or well-above typical progress from the beginning of the year to the end of the year in third grade, as measured by the DIBELS Pathways of Progress (composite scores only). Per board rule, our district’s target percentage for all third-grade students making typical progress or better is set at 47.83%, rounded to 48%. Bonneville is proud to announce that as of today, we have exceeded that goal by about 7%. We are proud of our hard working third grade students, teachers, and support staff, Heidi Hirschi, Shaunna Olson, Marie Reeder, Ashley Sagers, and Ignasi Vila, who have helped them reach this goal! A special thanks goes to Lori Wiser, one of our staff assistants, who has spent extra effort and time helping some of our struggling readers for the past 6 weeks by teaching them phonograms they had missed earlier. Well done!

Bonneville PTA Carnival a Huge Success!

Fun was had by all at the PTA carnival Friday night. Hundreds of students, parents, and neighbors spent their evening with us as we bounced, splashed, played games, ate nachos and snow cones, and shopped! Thank you Kristy Kline, Amanda Salgado, Jenny Venegas, and all the other parent volunteers that worked so hard to make this event successful. We love and appreciate you!
