MIDTERM

Believe it or not, we are at Midterm for our first term! Now is a great time to take a look at your grades and fix any deficient grades and work with your teacher on making up any work you may be missing.

Also, it's a great time to recommit to getting to class on time and doing your best work.

PARENT TEACHER CONFERENCE--COVID UPDATE

With our current COVID situation, we would like to make a few adjustments to our regular Parent-Teacher Conference scheduled for THIS week (Thursday, September 24). Please help us with these adjustments:

  • Teachers will be available from 3:30-8:00pm
  • Teachers will remain in their classrooms throughout the afternoon/evening.
  • If your student has deficient grades (D’s and F’s) we encourage you to come visit with your student’s teachers concerning their grades.
  • If your student does not have deficient grades, we ask that you not come this time. If you have questions or concerns, we encourage you to email the teacher or call the school.
  • We will set up socially distanced chairs in the hallways to wait for a teacher who may not be available.
  • We ask that face coverings be warn at all times and social distancing is maintained.

HOW TO CHECK YOUR STUDENT'S GRADES

If you haven't been online to check your student's grades, we encourage you to do so (and do so regularly). Here's how to do it:

  1. Go to www.nebo.edu.
  2. Under the "Parents" Tab, select "Infinite Campus Parent Portal"
  3. Login using the login and password you chose at the time of registration.
  4. Once logged in, click "Grades" in the left margin
  5. Click on the Course Title (i.e. "English 7") to see specifics about a grade.
  6. If you have more than one student in the district, you can change which student you are looking at by selecting the drop down in the top right corner.

NETSMARTZ UTAH

Diamond Fork was scheduled to have NetSmartz at our school over the course of the next three days to teach our students about internet safety and appropriate web behavior! It is a wonderful organization that does a great job of making their presentation relatable to students.

Unfortunately, NetSmartz has had to reschedule their assemblies with us. We will let you know as soon as the dates are rescheduled. Thanks for your patience!

In the meantime, their website is a great resource of wonderful information for students and parents. We encourage you to check it out! www.utahnetsmartz.org

AFTERNOON TEACHER HELP TIME

We want to ensure that all our students (and parents) are aware that our teachers are available to help our students each week. Every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday teachers are here to support students from 1:55-2:45! Whether it is a test re-take, a make-up test, a missing assignment or just a question, your teachers are here to help!

We encourage all our students to make good use of this time! You are welcome to stay after on your own accord, or we may invite you to stay. Either way, we want to help you!

EARLY OUT ENRICHMENT ACTIVITIES

We mentioned a couple weeks ago that we would be developing several "ENRICHMENT" activities after school for students who would like to be involved. Those plans are being finalized, and we wanted to share them with you. These activities will change periodically (some change from week to week, others will not change for a month or so) but this gives you an idea of what the plan is. All enrichment activities require students to sign up (to limit number of students) ahead of time.
