Rebecca Soni
Born March 18, 1987, Rebecca Soni was a swimmer from the start. She holds the 100 m breaststroke world record in both short and long course, 200 m world record (breaking it in the 2008 Beijing Olympics, and then breaking her world record in the 2012 London). Rebecca was announced Swimming World's Swimmer of the Year in 2010 and 2011. And also the american Swimmer of the Year in 2009, 2010, and 2011. Rebecca took a season off to heal her back injury, but still came to the 2013 World Aquatics Championship as a spectator. While at the World Aquatics Championships, her 200 m breaststroke world record was broke by Denmark's Rikke Moller Pedersen in the semifinals. Rebecca Soni hasn't competed since the 2012 Summer Olympics, but she is still one of the greatest American swimmers.
