Public Participation - The following topics were addressed during the first period of public participation: There were no comments.
Minutes - The following minutes were included in the agenda:
- The Board approved the minutes from the March 21, 2022 Legislative meeting.
- The March 2022 committee meeting minutes were affirmed.
Education Committee/Curriculum/Technology/Student Services Recommendations -
The Board reviewed and approved the following:
- Enrollment Report
- Professional development conferences
- Student activities
- Service agreement with the MCIU for ACCESS billing services
- Pool Counsel Legal Services agreement with Sweet, Stevens, Katz & Williams LLP
- Two (2) educational agreements
Finance Committee Recommendations - The Board approved the following:
- Routine matters - The Board approved the Treasurer's Report, the list of bill payments, budgetary transfers, and the obsolete list.
- Other matters - The Board approved a change order with Skepton Construction, Inc., an agreement with Wayne Moving & Storage for SRMS relocation services, an agreement with Bluum for AV equipment replacement in the UDHS Performing Arts Center, a lease renewal for the bus garage, and an appraisal services agreement and a professional services agreement with Valbridge Property Advisors. The Board approved the proposed financing and issuance of general obligation bonds via a negotiated sale for the purpose of funding new money needs. Additionally, the Board accepted donations from Giant and Acme supermarkets.
Personnel Report/Recommendations - The Board approved the following:
- Personnel Report inclusive of appointments, resignations, retirements, leaves of absence, changes of status, and extracurriculars.
- Cafeteria/Playground Aide and Pool Employee Compensation Plan

The Board approved the second reading of the following policies:
- Student Involvement in Decision-Making (232)
- Student Rights/Responsibilities (235)
The Board affirmed first reading of the following policies:
- Fiscal Objectives (601)
- Bank Accounts (608)
- Investment of District Funds (609)
- Student Activity Funds (618)
Other Business Recommendations -
The Board approved the 2022 Summer Work Hours Memorandum of Understanding.

Solicitor's Report - Mr. Diasio reported that the Board met in Executive Session on April 6, 2022 at approximately 8:15 PM to discuss administrative staffing and also met on April 25, 2022 from 5:30 PM to 6:50 PM to discuss the personnel report on the evening's legislative agenda and administrative salaries.

Comments from the Board and/or Superintendent - The following topics were addressed:
- Ms. Iannitti commented on the African American/Black Students and Families (AABSF) food truck event and an upcoming event hosted by the Asian American Students and Families (AASF).
