Small Group Nominations

As the School Counselor, I get to conduct small groups of 3-6 students that cover a variety of topics. I meet with the students at a time that does not interfere with academics and we meet for 6-8 weeks.

If you would like to nominate your student for a small group, please fill out the following form!

Caring About Nutrition

Caring About Nutrition (C.A.N.) is a program the district offers to all Ray Pec students in which they get to bring a bag of food home every Friday to help over the weekend. If you are interested in your child receiving a food bag every week, please contact me and I will get you signed up.

Counseling Lessons!

As a school counselor I have the opportunity to teach classroom lessons every other week for 30 minutes. The students and I tackle topics including, but not limited to...
  • Anti-Bullying
  • Problem Solving
  • Conflict resolution
  • Trust
  • Teamwork
  • Study Skills
  • Respect
  • Responsibility
  • Friendship
Here's what we'll be working on over these two weeks...

Kindergarten, 1st Grade and 2nd Grade

These grade levels will be reading How Full is Your Bucket? We will be talking about how to be "bucket fillers" (help others feel good) rather than "bucket dippers" (making others feel bad).

3rd Grade, 4th Grade and Mrs. Morrison's Class

We will be reading The Invisible Boy.The students will discuss whether they have ever felt left out and how that changed their day. We'll also talk about how to include others and to make everyone feel valued and appreciated.
