Highlights From The Week...
- Today we had our April All School Meeting. This was our first meeting back together in the gym this year. It was great to be all together again! We celebrated our April birthdays and heard from 5th grade students Aless, Allie, and Eleanor, on ways we can support the Earth for Earth Day.
- Thursday our 5th graders had their Step-Up Day at Hubble. We are so excited for the next step in their school journey but sniff, sniff, so sad to think about our 5th graders no longer at Bower.
- Next year we will be using a new curriculum for math in CUSD200. This week, and over the next month, several of our staff members will be receiving training on implementation of the Illustrative Mathematics curriculum. We are looking forward to this tool which provides many opportunities for rich dialogue in math for our students.

Hubble Under the Stars
On Friday, May 20th at 8:30, the Hubble Student Ambassador Leadership Team is hosting, Hubble Under the Stars!!! This event is a fun and family themed fundraising opportunity that allows you to enjoy Hubble Middle School and watch a great movie (Wall-E) with friends and family. This is not an actual "drive in." This is a "walk in" set behind our school. All families should bring chairs, blankets and anything else that will make your experience comfortable and enjoyable. All profits from concessions goes to Feed My Starving Children as well the money generated through a general offering and raffle basket ticket purchases.
The event itself is free of charge. The location of the movie presentation is in the lawn behind Hubble Middle School. We will have a "Drive In" movie screen with excellent sound, raffle baskets, and concessions that will sell hot dogs, popcorn, drinks and cotton candy.
All students must be accompanied by a responsible adult that remains present until their departure. The movie will end at approximately 10:30pm.
