I'm Over it!
Tips for Overcoming Stress!
I'm Stressed Out!!!!
You are not alone. Stress seems to be our new normal. Everyone is navigating how to stay safe and healthy while juggling everyday tasks. Oh, I forgot to mention that you probably have to learn or work from home=STRESS!!! Here are some tips to hopefully reduce your stress:
1. Face your difficulties and challenges with an Attitude of Gratitude- It is easy to become overwhelmed with everything that is going on. Take a minute to focus on what is going well as opposed to focusing on things you cannot control. Look for the "good"!
2. Refocus your attention-Choose to focus on happier thoughts and times. Everyone needs a laugh! Think about things and engage in activities that will put a smile on your face! Take a much needed break! 20-30 minutes to play a game of Charades or Tic Tac Toe will provide a much needed stress reliever. Remember, coloring isn't just for kids!
3.Utilize what you know-It's time to remember those stress busting skills! Mindfulness matters- don't forget about the benefits of deep breathing and getting outdoors. During stressful times, my go-to motto is: This too shall pass! You need to rely on the fact that you have experienced unpleasant challenges before and endured it.
4. Find solutions-download apps and search local, state and national websites for resources. Stay connected!
5. Talk about it! Let it Go! Don't keep your feelings bottled up. Talk to a trusted friend, family member or colleague about what you are experiencing. If you are a self proclaimed loner, journaling is a viable option. Either way, express yourself in a healthy way.
6. Celebrate the victories! Rome was not built in one day! Give yourself a break and add some flexibility into your daily schedule and routine. It doesn't have to be perfect!
