The Owl Times
The Parent Newsletter for Oak Hills Terrace Elementary
From Principal Robinson's Desk
One of the best ways you can help support your child in their education is to make sure they are at school everyday on time. When they are late or absent, they are missing a valuable piece of the puzzle that will help them build a successful foundation in their school career. Please help support our efforts by bringing your child to school on time every day. The first bell rings at 7:40 a.m.

Volunteers
Don't forget, if you would like to volunteer or chaperone a field trip, you can click here to access the background check application or go to www.nisd.net, scroll to the bottom and click the Volunteers and Affiliates link. Complete the requested information on the application and select submit. If you are unable to access the internet, you can come by the OHT library to complete the application using our computers. We usually get the information back within a week. We only see the volunteers name and the word "cleared". If someone is not cleared, they will receive notification from our HR department. The school doesn't get that information.
Winter Parties on December 20th
PTA Updates
If you haven't had a chance to join PTA, please do! It's $7.00, and that money goes to help with programs, field trips and items for our students and teachers. You can return the money in an envelope or go online to joinPTA.org to join. Choose Northside ISD as the school district and then Oak Hills Terrace Elementary.
Our next PTA project will be our Pictures with Santa. This will take place that last week before school releases for winter break. Be on the lookout for more information coming soon.
