For Your Information & Action
- Progress report information will be taken from PowerSchool on Tuesday, October 2, at 9am for a Wednesday, October 3 homeroom distribution. Please be sure that your grades are updated at that time.
- Please note that when the calendar says progress reports, grades will be taken at 9am the next school day for distribution the following day after.
- Progress reports will be distributed via hard copy and email copy to families.
Peer Observations: Part of the 9th grade experience is to observe students in other classroom settings around a problem of practice--the 9th grade teachers are focusing on observing student perseverance. More specifically, how are students using words and actions to demonstrate perseverance? 9th grade teachers have observed one another's classes to see this, and hope to get into other classrooms throughout the school. 9th grade teachers may be approaching you to observe your class. We hope you welcome them in your classroom!
College Shirt Monday: If you wear a college shirt on Monday, you can wear jeans, too!
NEASC: Kristen and Kate recently completed the two year follow up report for NEASC. Click here to see the report.
Bandaids: Any staff who need bandaids, please come to the nurse's office, with your container of preference, for a supply for your classroom.
Tissues: If you need tissues for your classroom, please check in the main office with Jen or Alesia.
School Council: Staff who are interested in being elected on the school council should send their letter of interest to Kristen by Friday, October 5.
October PD Day Classroom Space: If you would be willing to let an elementary PLC use your classroom after lunch on the October PD day, Kate would really appreciate it. Please email her.
Senior Parking Timeline:
- October 5: Lauren will meet with seniors who have paid for their parking spots. Meeting will be in the college and career center in guidance.
- October 10: Students who have purchased spots will go outside during advisory to claim their spots. Designs for parking spots are also due to Lauren on this day.
- October 11: Students who have purchased spots will go out during their study hall and paint the base coat. The rest of the painting will happen from 3:00 to 5:00.
Reminders
Homeroom Attendance: Please submit homeroom attendance by 8am so that Jen can get the attendance lists out to all staff.
Staff Shout Outs!
Shout out to Deena Lashway for making her classes fun and engaging. In Spanish, students were learning their numbers playing a game in small groups. In Personal Finance students had a contest buying stocks and then seeing who gained the most money!
Responsibility and Perseverance:
- Shoutout to para-educator Katelyn Hanlon for providing daily detailed information class-by-class to special education teachers about what's going on in each general education classroom she supports.
