Google Docs- Force a Copy

Here is an easy way to share a Google document with somebody and force them to make a copy of it. This works with all types of Google documents.

  1. Make sure the document is shared with the person.

  2. Copy the hyperlink of the document.

  3. Delete the edit at the end of the hyperlink and replace it with copy.

Ex. https://docs.google.com/a/roundrockisd.org/document/d/1tSVB-50ActoIvjbdyyQsrgw4RjZHFo83FSioVUX2BbU/edit

https://docs.google.com/a/roundrockisd.org/document/d/1tSVB-50ActoIvjbdyyQsrgw4RjZHFo83FSioVUX2BbU/copy

4. Send the new hyperlink to the person you want to make a copy of the document.
5. The person will receive the following message when they click the hyperlink.

Weather Forecast in Google Calendar

Wonder what the high and low temperatures are for the days to come? Now you can see a weather icon on your Google Calendar. Go to the Gear> Settings> General> Location.

Add your zipcode. Under “location” Select “Show weather based on my location” by selecting °C or °F.

Be sure to SAVE at the top or bottom of the screen.

After saving, you will see the weather for the next 3 days on your calendar screen. If you click the weather icon, the forecast pops up.
