Sixth grade scholars will use laptops provided by their teachers.
Benjamin Stoddert Hosts CCPS Middle School Teachers
On March 21st, Benjamin Stoddert Middle School hosted over 20 middle school CCPS teachers, as well as content specialists, and Chief of Teaching and Learning, Kevin Lowndes, for guided visits with a focus on standards-based instruction. Our student ambassadors did an excellent job guiding our guests throughout the building and facilitating discussions. We received an abundance of positive feedback during the visit, including how truly impressed guests were by our teachers and scholars!
BSMS Basketball Champions!
We are EXTREMELY proud of our Boys Basketball Team for winning the 2023-2024 Middle School Basketball Championship! Under the leadership of Coach Brown, our young men went undefeated throughout the tournament and brought home the championship win on March 22nd. We will have our Trophy Ceremony this week to celebrate the big win!
Stallion Nation Represents at the MESA Tournament
Join me in congratulating our Stoddert MESA team. Maryland MESA (Math, Engineering, Science, Achievement) is an engaging after- school program for students grades 3-12 designed to spark interest in STEM education and STEM careers. During Friday's competition, our MESA scholars earned awards in three out of four of the MESA categories. Scholars earned a second-place trophy in the Community Clean Up Challenge and third place trophies in the Planetary Lander and Wearable Technology Challenges. Shout out to our teacher sponsors, Ms. Spencer and Ms. Mervine, as well as our parent volunteer, Mr. Halikman, for your dedication to our MESA program! Awesome job!
