Week of February 26th
Bunkyo University Visit
This year Benjamin Stoddert Middle School was selected to host 30 students from Bunkyo University in Japan. We were thrilled to welcome our guests this past Friday! Stoddert Student Ambassadors were phenomenal tour guides as students from Bunkyo University visited several classrooms. It was a great opportunity for our scholars to meet future educators and share what they're currently studying in Stallion Nation.
Celebrating Black History Month
We are continuing our Black History Month celebrations during this final week of February. Check out our upcoming events!
Week of February 26th: Local History Makers theme for Stallion Time and morning announcements
February 28th: United States Patent and Trademark Office(USPTO) Inventors presentation
February 29th: Paint and Snack Black Excellence event
No Ski Masks, Headphones, and Earbuds
Earbuds, ski masks, and headphones have become a growing distraction to our learning environment. Scholars should therefore no longer wear these items in school. These items are not essential to daily instruction. If there is ever a need for scholars to bring earbuds or headphones for a particular class activity or assignment, classroom teachers will notify scholars and parents in advance.
Is Your Scholar Missing a Coat or Jacket?
There are dozens of winter coats and light jackets in our Stoddert Lost and Found. If your scholar is missing one of these items, please have them search the Lost and Found this month. It is located on the first floor by our School Store. Because we are running out of storage space, items remaining after February 29th will be donated to local organizations.
