What was the civil rights movement ?

The Civil Rights Movement was a popular move to secure African Americans.To make sure they have all their equal access,opportunities,and basic rights . Even though the movement went back to the early 19th century it came back in the 1950s and 1960s .

Facts...

~Everyone wanted the right to achieve to be equal and the right to be free of racial discrimination.

~The movement had another name called the Second Reconstruction,imposed upon the South following the Civil War.

~Hoping to restore to African Americans for all citizenship guaranteed by the Fourteenth and Fifteenth amendments (that went away by Jim Crow Laws).

~Even though African Americans had demonstrated against segregation laws. The Montgomery bus boycott became a turning point for their protests .

~It then gained significant media attention to the public for the cause of the movement ,and brought King to the fore as leader.

People Involved .

The main people that were involved in the Civil Rights Movement were Rosa Parks & Dr.Martin Luther King Jr.

-Rosa Louise McCauley Parks was an African American Civil Rights activist , who the United States called " the first lady of civil rights " and "the mother of the freedom movement ".
-Dr.Martin Luther King Jr. was an American Baptist minster , activist humanitarian, and leader in the African -American Civil Rights movement .

Effections

~ The way it effected was because everything need to be changed in the way people lived back then . He lead a movement by never giving up on whats right for this world . He gave speeches explaining what was going on . Rosa Parks defended for herself over a seat on th bus . she stood for what was right in her ways and in others.
