St. Teresa Tidbits

August 4, 2021

Registration is OPEN!

All families must register their school-aged children on PowerSchool by August 11. Please visit our website at to find registration materials and directions. If you have any questions, please contact Heather Bullerman at

Our required parent meeting will be held on Wednesday, August 18 at 6:30. An ice cream social will be held following the meeting. Please contact the office at 563-532-9353 if you need childcare during the meeting. If you have a 3rd or 4th grader that would like to see their school, please stop by our Spillville site between 5-6 the same night. All staff members will be introduced at the meeting.

Free Breakfast & Lunch for ALL Students

The Seamless Summer Option is a government program that will provide free breakfast and lunch for ALL of our St. Teresa students for an undetermined amount of time during the 2021-2022 school year. Mrs. Heather Bullerman and Mrs. Debby Schmitt have worked tirelessly to complete all the necessary paperwork and follow the necessary guidelines to make this happen for our students.

We need your help! All eligible families still need to apply for free and reduced lunches this year. Many grants are based on the number of free and reduced lunches we provide. Without your applications, we possibly could miss out on funds for our school. Therefore, please fill out the free and reduced meal application online or turn it into Heather Bullerman. Qualifying for free or reduced lunches in the past provided families with P-EBT food cards and other discounts. It's a win-win situation for everyone!

We are sad to have Jayden Boos leave our St. Teresa School family. We wish her all the best at the Ossian Senior Hospice. We are in need of a head cook for our Ossian location. Interested applicants can send their letter of interest and resume to Kristin Kriener.

Ossian Fest

Ossian Fest is a great opportunity to earn service hours for our St. Teresa of Calcutta Blue Cord program. This prestigious honor exemplifies what it means to lead and serve as Jesus did, ultimately becoming active missionaries in the world He created. 100 service hours is needed to accomplish this goal for 8th grade graduates. Students may start accumulating hours when entering 5th grade. We could use help with the following responsibilities on Saturday, August 7:

1:30-4:30 supervising kids' inflatables at Carey's Park

11:00-2:00 selling pop & water by Luana Savings Bank

2:00-5:00 selling pop & water at Carey's Park

5:00-8:00 selling pop & water at Carey's Park

Please email me at if your 5th, 6th, 7th or 8th grader would be willing to help out during the 2021 Ossian Fest: Golden Books Come to Ossian.
