Holy Family Updates
February 8, 2023
Dear HFRCS Families,
It has been quite the week since our last newsletter! We had our Religion Bee (congratulations Ian Calise for winning!), our 8th Grade versus Families Volleyball Game (students won), our Winter Ball, and our Parent Meeting. It’s always a good time at Holy Family.
Next up is the Super Bowl this weekend. As of this newsletter, Monday 2/13 is a normal school day. Chester Upland closed however and Chichester is on a 2 hour delay. We will definitely send out notifications if anything changes before then. Please do not forget to complete the re-enrollment process by the deadline 2/13/23. We do not want anyone to lose their spot at Holy Family.
Also, do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or concerns.
Thank you,
Mr. Elia
Re-Enrollment
It has been brought to our attention that not everyone has received this email. If you did not receive it, and were not able to log into the new FACTS system, please send an email to Admin@HolyFamilyAston.org and we will assist in setting up your account.
Enrollment opens to the general public on Tuesday, February 14th, so please complete the re-enrollment at your earliest convenience, as your spot cannot be guaranteed after that date.
Thanks for your patience as we get this new system up and running.
Congratulations!
Congratulations to Matthew Adam and Ian Calise for being chosen for the Northeastern Music Programs Honor Band. The members were chosen by teacher recommendations from schools in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, New Jersey, Delaware and Maryland. The concert will take place at Mother of Providence Regional Catholic School on Saturday, April 22.
Hailey Lake, Joseph Webber, and Nicholas McDermond will receive the Northeastern Music Leadership Award as they were also nominated for the ensemble.
COVID Policy Reminder
At Holy Family, our number one priority will always be the safety of our students, staff, and families. We have seen an increase number of positive cases among students the last three days. Nothing to panic about, but we must make sure we are following proper protocols and taking necessary precautions. If we do not work together, we may be facing a mask mandate and/or possible virtual days if the numbers continue to rise.
As a reminder, our COVID Policy is below. So, please make sure you monitor for symptoms.
Everyone will follow the same procedures regardless of their vaccination status.
If you are exposed to someone who is positive with COVID-19
- There is no quarantine period, but masks will be strongly recommended.
If you live with a person(s) who has tested positive for COVID-19
- There is no quarantine period, but masks will be required. The length of time will be confirmed by Nurse Victoria.
If you test positive for COVID-19
- You must contact Nurse Victoria immediately. You will isolate for at least 5 days and be able to return after that time period if you are free of fever and your overall symptoms have improved. Nurse Victoria will confirm your return date and when you will be able to return to being mask optional.
Please do not hesitate to contact myself or Nurse Victoria if you have any questions or concerns.
