Teaching & Learning… So much to be proud of
Greetings Woodcrest Families,
I hope you and your family found time to relax and recharge a bit over the past long weekend. We are now in the last stretch of the school year. That went fast, didn’t it?
With only eight weeks of school left this year, your children are more focused and engaged than ever. This past week, I have been in all sorts of classrooms. I’ve watched Woodcrest teachers guide your children through lessons focused on deepening their understanding of the core content area being taught as they also extend their Spanish language acquisition. It is fun to see and be a part of.
Education is not easy work, and as educators, we are always learning in order to better serve our students. As you know, each child has their own interests, challenges and struggles. Over the last few weeks our teachers have come together twice to learn together – focused on helping children with their gross and fine motor skills. Our teachers were very engaged in this learning, and I’m very proud to see them already implementing what they learned.
Spring is a fun time at school, and we look forward to these coming weeks of learning.
Con gratitúd,
John Franke
