FEEL HAPPY NOW FOR SAVING ENERGY!!!
EARN NOW HOW YOU CAN PROTECT THE ATMOSPHERE AND MONEY EASILY
How much do we use in America?
We have used roughly 97 quadrillion BTUs on average in the past 4 years. In 2007, the total energy consumption in the United States was 101.53 quadrillion BTUs and the figure dropped slightly to 99.40 quadrillion BTUs in 2008. It was even lower, at 94.58 quadrillion BTUs in 2009, and even though this year is not over yet, the projected usage for 2010 is 97.57 quadrillion BTUs.
Just a few ways to save energy and money!!
Check your filter every month especially during heavy use months(winter & summer)if the filter looks dirty after a month
A clean filter will also pervent dust and dirt from building up in the system-
leading to expinsive maitence up in the system filter.
Use less hot water by installing low-flow shower heads. They cost just $10 to $20 each, deliver an invigorating shower, and save 300 pounds of CO2 per year for electrically heated water, or 80 pounds for gas-heated water.
Clean or replace air filters as recommended. Energy is lost when air conditioners and hot-air furnaces have to work harder to draw air through dirty filters. Cleaning a dirty air conditioner filter can save 5 percent of the energy used. That could save 175 pounds of CO2 per year.
- Wrap your water heater in an insulating jacket, which costs just $10 to $20. It can save 1100 lbs. of CO2 per year for an electric water heater, or 220 pounds for a gas heater.
Set your clothes washer to the warm or cold water setting, not hot. Switching from hot to warm for two loads per week can save nearly 500 pounds of CO2 per year if you have an electric water heater, or 150 pounds for a gas heater.
Why save energy, its borrrrrrrrriiiinnnnnggggg!?
There are many reasons to save energy, their relative importance being different to different people. Using less energy can have positive results ecologically, financially, and personally, and the very act of trying to reduce energy use increases an individual's awareness of the surrounding environment and the effect that we all have on it. Using resources efficiently leads to a lessened impact on the environment, lower operating costs for businesses and households, and a cleaner and more organized way of life for everyone.
WORLDS WAY OF THANKS!
NOW IF YOUVE DONE THESE THINGS THE EARTH WANTS TO GIVE YOU AIR AND NO CO2!!!NO, THANK YOU EARTH!!!
