This Week in S-3

Hi Families! What a great week!

On Wednesday the children performed like pros! Getting up in front of the whole school and then your family is no easy task. We are all so proud of them. What a job well done!

Thank you for continuing to send in permission slips. If you are interested in attending the field trip to the farm, please get your form in ASAP. I will be randomly selecting parents next week. Please make sure you check your child's green folder. We have 2 permission slips that need to be returned. One is for the farm, and one is for a walking trip to CB West.

This is just a reminder that it is important to dress your child appropriately for school. Remember that it can still be chilly in the morning and our lunch is so early, we often are no where near the expected high for the day when the children are outside. Remember that flip flops and thong sandals are not permitted. In addition, we have gym on Wednesdays so please remember to have your child wear sneakers on that day.

So here's a fun fact: There are 21 days of school left. This number seems pretty hard to to believe, but it is true. I'm already getting that sad feeling in the pit of my stomach. I am going to miss this class soo much! As the year draws to an end, I will be working one on one with each child instead of meeting in small reading groups. I encourage you to help your child by reading the books that come home daily and continuing to do Xtra math.

Thanks!

Fondly,

Leslie Wong

First Graders Practice For Avenue of the Arts

After weeks of hard work and dedication, our first graders performed what could arguably be labeled the cutest performance of all time. I am so proud of their hard work and willingness to learn. We were a big hit!
