Dr. Rose's message
This week marks the end of the first 9 weeks of school. We are capping that accomplishment with our annual fall conferences. We choose student led conferences for 1st through 5th grade students in the fall for a couple of reasons. The first is because we believe student led conferences allow students to have ownership of their learning. The second important reason we conduct these type of conferences is that we believe a large responsibility we have in teaching children is to teach them the 4 "C"s-collaboration, communication, critical thinking, and creativity. From preparation to delivery of the student led conference, our students get great practice in all 4 of those skills.
We do hope that you can make some time to attend your student's conference this week. If you cannot, please make contact with your student's teacher in order to set up another time.
