Raise Your Hand to Speak Out
Recommendation:
- Verbally- The teacher verbally states which mode is preferred: "Raise Your Hand."
- Non-Verbally- The teacher indicates the mode through gestures: Teacher raises his/her own hand
- Momentum- the law of inertia states that an object in motion tends to remain in motion and if it is still it tends to remain still. This is "momentum". Once the response mode has been systematically established with verbal and non verbal format components, responses will continue in that mode even after the verbal and nonverbal components are dropped.
