Japanese Cultural Exchange We welcomed 4th Grade Students from Futabakai Japanese School in Arlington Heights as they spent the day at Dryden with us last week. It's wonderful for our students to have this opportunity to make new friends and learn about each other's language, culture and school experiences! | Happy Hall-SNOW-een! The snowy weather did not deter us from making it a fantastic, fun day for our students at Dryden! We are so grateful to everyone who helped with supervision, the indoor parade and super-fun classroom parties! The creative costumes, crafts and games are sure to be remembered for many days to come! | Squirm! Bravo to our first grade students in their outstanding musical performance, Squrim! They truly shined as they sang, danced, acted, wiggled and squiggled. Many thanks to Music Teacher Mr. Deptula and all of the volunteers who helped make this show a great success! |

Safety First!
We ask that you immediately contact our school office (847-398-4280) if you witness an unsafe traffic violation. If possible, please note the vehicle license plate, vehicle make and model, and description of the driver.
Additionally, we are hosting a Parent Car Line Forum with Mrs. Sessler in the Dryden LMC on Wednesday, November 13 at 7:00 PM. At this forum, we will review our current traffic and safety procedures during arrival and dismissal. This will also be an opportunity to listen to your suggestions for improving our current procedures. Please RSVP by Friday, November 8 on this form. If you can't attend, you can still share your feedback on the form, and Mrs. Sessler will contact you individually to follow up on your concerns.
We appreciate everyone's care and cooperation to help keep our students safe!
Veteran's Day Breakfast Donations Needed
Also, all students are invited to wear red, white and blue to show our appreciation for our local Veterans at our all-school assembly. Thank you!
Welcome, Author Laurie Wallmark!

Picture Retakes
Our picture retake day is on Wednesday, November 6, 2019. If you haven’t ordered pictures, you can order at inter-state.com/order and use order code:39341SB.
If your child took a picture on our original picture day and placed an order, please send them to school with their original picture package to give to the photographer. Your child will receive the same package with the new photo.
If your child took a picture on our original picture day and did not place an order, they do not need to return anything - they just need to come to school ready to smile.
If you haven’t placed an order, parents can wait to order until they receive the "It's Not Too Late" page if you want to see the photo first. This will give instructions on how to place an order online at that time.
Please note, class pictures have not yet been received. We will send out the class pictures to all parents, regardless of ordering. If you have any questions, please contact Shani Jarrett at info@austinjarrett.com.
