Community Connections with Dr. Kopicki

Dear Jamison Elementary School Families,

Please join me in the Jamison library on Monday, November 18 from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. for this school year’s first “Community Connections” meeting.

Last year, we initiated these meetings in order to encourage frank conversations about a shared vision for the future of our schools. I was grateful for the feedback and ideas that our families shared and I look forward to this year’s sessions! I hope you can find time to attend.

A video introduction may be seen on the website at www.cbsd.org/communityconnections.

Stay Well,

John J. Kopicki, Ed.D.

Superintendent of Schools

Central Bucks School District

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you for your support...

Well, indoor, outdoor, it didn't matter, the Halloween Parade was a success! The students dressed up and paraded the hallways. While an indoor parade is never the goal, it made everything easier because all of the community's support!

In mid-October we had our JET Assembly

The JET assembly promoted students finding their voice. Enjoy the pictures!

Pumpkin Decorating Contest

Once again, the community came together and produced some amazing pumpkins! The GRUBS ecology program thanks you for all of your hard work. Here are just a few of the pumpkins that lined our hallways.

Scholastic Fall Book Fair

The Scholastic Fall Book Fair is quickly approaching! The book fair will be held in the library from Nov. 4th to 8th.

Please make note of your students scheduled shopping time and that family night is scheduled for Wednesday, November 6th from 6pm-8pm. The book fair will also be open Friday morning, Nov. 8th from 7:45-8:30am for family shopping! We are encouraging families to use the eWallet option for payment! If paying by eWallet, you will be entered into a drawing to win a gift basket! Visit http://www.scholastic.com/bf/jamisonelementaryschool1 to sign up to use the eWallet payment option. Thanks for supporting Jamison and the love of reading!

Awards

We Salute You Award:

This is a monthly award given to a student that a staff member feels is dedicated to being the best person they can be in all that they do. This award can be given to a student that goes out of his/her way to help a friend, is a great classmate, and gives 110% in everything he/she does. This student receives a certificate at our monthly assembly as well as a Jamison Jet T-Shirt.

October's Winner:

  • Hannah Tracy

Jet Ticket Winners:

When students are “caught being good”, a Jamison staff member can recognize their behavior by giving them a JET Ticket. The student must write his/her name on the ticket and circle the appropriate character trait (Respect / Responsibility / Safe Community / Sportsmanship). Students place the JET Tickets in the Ticket Box located outside of the Main Office. Then, three students from grades K-3 and three students from grades 4-6 are randomly drawn at our monthly assembly and are given Jet T-Shirts.
