Mrs. Wallauer's First Grade News!

Weeks of 11/10 and 11/17

Hello Families!

The month of November is flying by! I really cannot believe we have been in school for over 2 months now! Your children are immersed in their daily learning. We are learning from authors as we write our personal narratives, exploring retelling a story in detail and are wrapping up our first chapter on subtraction. We also have gone on a virtual field trip to a Wampanog village and have learned about the culture and tradition and daily lives of this Native American tribe. In preparation for celebrating Thanksgiving in our classroom we will think about the things we are thankful for every day and work to give back by making breakfast bags for the kids at the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen. Please see below for other important save the dates and reminders. We are busy, busy, busy!

American Education Week

Parents are welcome to come to our classroom on Tuesday, Nov. 18th to observe a reading lesson next week at 9:45. Fliers will be sent home tomorrow with details. No siblings are allowed. It is an optional invitation.
