FEBRUARY 10, 2022
Happy Valentine's Day a bit early!
Registration materials for the fall are going home with students tomorrow. Please complete the information to aid in our planning for the 2022-23 school year.
Don't forget to look at the yellow sheet with the latest information about our School Tuition Organization (STO) and the tuition assistance it provides. We are proud to share that the Archdiocese of Dubuque has raised $5,391,464 to be distributed to families who qualify. This is an increase of $846,478 from last year. Applications are due by April 15 and the more detailed flyer is here. Thanks to the many who donate to this program each year.
The Main Event will take place on February 26 at the Hilton Garden Inn. If you have not purchased your tickets yet please do so! It will be a fun night of celebrating with our St. Patrick family!
Blessings,
Lynette Hackett

FAITH
Last week in celebration of Catholic Schools Week our students planned and led the Saturday 5 PM Mass. I received so many compliments from parishioners on what a wonderful job our students did.

EXCELLENCE
Each year our students participate in the Knights of Columbus Spelling Bee. This year Xavier in 5th grade placed 5th, and Chesney in 7th grade placed 1st. Chesney will be headed to Cedar Rapids for the Regional Spelling Bee on Saturday, Feb.12.

SERVICE
The Northeast Iowa Food Bank was so appreciative of our "Food Fight " donations. Mrs. Stone's Kindergarten class was the winner of the "Food Fight," collecting the most cans and monetary donations. They will receive an out of uniform day tomorrow! What an amazing way for our school to make a difference in the community and have fun doing it!

Learn about the Leader in Me's 8 Habits of Happy Kids at CPTO tonight, Thursday, Feb. 10
The Student Lighthouse Team will be presenting at the CPTO meeting in the CCC. Join them at 6:30. They will also share the details of our family learning project-- habit bingo. Bingo will be rewarded with out-of-uniform passes, so make sure your family plays the game!
We are getting closer to our goal with the Main Event yet to come!
Thank you to all who are helping in so many ways!

All are invited for an afternoon of bingo! Stay the whole time or drop in and play a couple of cards. Prizes--of course! Bring snacks to share if you like. The church's Parish Life Committee is organizing a variety of activities this year. Watch form more opportunities to come.

Grade 7 and 8 students continue building and testing their motorized vehicles. The A World in Motion project is one highlight of our upper grades as it brings together so many subjects and the opportunity to learn from industry volunteers.
