The Countdown is on...

The countdown is on to meet our goal of reading the distance from Cape Hatteras, NC to San Francisco, CA in one year’s time. December 21, 2013 – January 17, 2014.

There have been a few questions regarding how to submit names and disperse UNCG Tickets.

Q&A

1) How do I submit names of students that have read over the holiday?

2) How do students get entered into the drawing?

  2. 9 Barnes & Noble $25 gift cards

Once the Holiday is Over...

There will be a $1,000.00 prize offered to one school in each region that reaches California in reading minutes. Every school that reads the distance from Cape Hatteras to San Francisco since the start of the challenge began will be entered into a drawing for $1,000.00 to spend at Follett or PermaBound for library books chosen by the winning school.

  • Each school must reach California by January 17th in order to be entered into the drawing.

You and your principal should have received an email from Lisa Gardner outlining the details of the Holiday Reading Challenge earlier today.

DON'T FORGET...

In order to be eligible for the $1,000 of books for your media center in your region, you must reach California in average reading minutes for your school and gather all of the minutes, not just for the month, but for the Holiday Challenge as well.

A Reading Log has been provided in an email earlier today.

Good Luck and Keep Reading!
