Finding an Idea is the first step of 6 Traits of Writing
- The topic you chose should fits the assigment topic and interest you
- include details such as facts, thoughts,feeling, and examples
Organization
For writing to have organization you need to have green, yellow, and pink
- Green is for conclusion and
- Yellow is for topic sentences for each paragraph
- Pink is for details like facts
Voice
With Voice you will need to have a voice like putting words in your own way.
- put good word choice
- show rather than tell
Word Choice
If you don't have good word choice your paragraph or sentence you will become boring.
- use exciting adverbs and adjectives
- If you chose to not have good word choice you will be BORING!
Sentence Fluency
Effective writing flows smoothly from one sentence to the next.
- use a variety of begging words and lengths
- use simple, compound, and complex
Conventions
Good writing is carefully edited to make sure it is easy to understand.
- edit using COPS
